Since 1987, the Biloxi 48 Company has been involved in numerous productions, mock plays, adaptations, writings, workshops, teachings, debates in Belgium and many other French speaking countries. The company is particularly interested in contemporary theater that conveys social realities and stirs up debates of ideas; these are texts that, in one way or another, ask the question “How to live together?”
The Biloxi 48 Company develops projects with chosen themes that each time allow them to target a particular audience through meetings, conferences, and specific activities.
Biloxi 48’s mentoring, alongside two other companies, by the Théâtre de la Place des Martyrs has given them the chance to encounter unique artistic worlds, to share ideas, and to discover other aesthetics. This production format allows companies to be a part of a theater house and a collective of artists from different backgrounds, while still maintaining their own unique characteristics, which greatly benefits the shows and the public.
