La Cabine Post Mortem

Alongside the performances of Post Mortem is a cabin in which spectators are invited to take a seat. Covered in translucent white curtains, this intimate space is open to the curious visitor, intrigued by the sign above it: Post Mortem Cabin.

In front of the flower-decorated entrance, a doormat reads: Welcome.

There’s a soft carpet, a letterbox, a table and a chair.

On the table, headphones invite you to listen to a series of edited interviews:
- How would you like to die?
- What objects have you kept?
- How has death changed you?
- Rituals

On the table, a Bic pen and some seeded paper.

A few words about the letterbox:

Here you can leave a letter for your loved ones. Your letter will blossom in the earth once all the mail has been collected.

In a warm and inviting setting, Infusions Immortelles offers a space for meaningful conversations over a cup of herbal tea, addressing topics such as death, grief, and the end of life. These special moments also provide an opportunity to meet Nina Lombardo, the creator of the concept, along with Jasmina Douieb and Florence Minder, who have each explored the themes of death and grief in their own unique ways through their work.

The Post Mortem Booth will be installed from March 31 to April 4, 2025 at the Kinneksbond Cultural Center in Mamer. This installation invites visitors into an enclosed space, conducive to introspection and reflection, to write a letter to their departed loved ones on seed paper. This paper, collected in a dedicated mailbox, will then be planted to bring their words to life to bloom.
